Marlene Marco

Marlene Marco is the creator and leader of Heart of Networking, an organization focussed on connection, education and opportunities for women business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals. Over the past 13 years, Heart of Networking has evolved and grown, as all businesses must, to their current membership model.

Marlene’s role, is to create event opportunities that shine the spotlight on the members, sharing their expertise with both the Heart of Networking Community and the greater business and consumer communities. Marlene is proud to say: “We attract women who are serious about building strong connections, supporting their peers and building and growing together. Community Building is a team sport.”

As a community leader, you’ll see Marlene at numerous events, particularly in Durham Region. She is very involved with the Ajax Pickering Board of Trade and is a past recipient of their Business Person of the Year award, and currently sits on the Women’s Committee.

Marlene proudly chairs 100 Women Who Care, Durham Region. This giving circle recently celebrated their 10th anniversary, having supported 40 local Durham charities in a unique way. Giving back to the community in which she loves to live work and play in, is a high priority for Marlene. She considers herself highly blessed to be able to provide these platforms for women to thrive!
